I'm in the process of updating everything I can find to the most recent versions that will work in 2009, and I've got a couple of questions.
First, how much of the KUID does Trainz use when loading an asset? There are a number of "fixed" assets that have been updated by someone other than the original author. The second part of the KUID is the same, but the author's fragment is different. Do I then need to comb through all of the routes that use the original and change the original in the config file?
I've found a few items in which the "updated" asset is a completely different object! For example, a phone booth is now a tree, or other totally inappropriate object. What's with that?
On another rant, I've also found a few updated assets that show up as available in CMP, but aren't actually in the DLS. Some of CincyRouthernRwy's steam loco's appear in CMP as "v2" but a search of the DLS won't find them, even when searching the entire database.
