Hi all,
I been sidetracked this weekend by Cripple Creek research, but just before the weekend started I had finalized a little "job" for a great person who had a small request for me a few backs that I just could not say no to.
You can say he tempted my creative side, and the result you will all soon see, he even has added to the setup so my little models has soon lot of life over them.
But, for now, this is a preview of how my basic setup appeared on a test map I play with, large images, but hope they work out. Oh, BTW, this is TS2009/TS2010 models onward.
Some might recognize this model from the West Side models I sent up on the DLS as TRS2004 models a month or so back. Here it is as a barn with a little twist thanks to my requester - hopefully to add a little to the repetitiveness of using it over and over. -> Loose doors & windows...
This model is so speaking to me that I want to move into it right away" LOL
Would have made a lovely house for us, but, it is only a Trainz model...
In this shot you also see some other models of mine on the DLS, the little steps up to the door is part of a steps & platform setup added as TRS2004 in August 2010 and the planked up to the door is really only the 6m wide simple bridge spline model also uploaded in that time frame...
Here you might get some ideas on what the models really are, no windows, no doors, just simple models with added stuff to them...
Here you get to see that I still have some small stuff to fix, that door is a tad big, don't you think... LOL
Same barn, just different side, you see, no doors & windows to mess up those plain walls, they are models you need to put in your self...
I just could not resist, I sacrificed a few more polygons just so I could get a sagging roof, to hard not to try it... LOL
Last one, with these shots, you have now an idea on what lays in store for you... LOL
They are all made from one library, one texture (1024x2048 pixels though so...) but with two materials as all barn models has a faked/static shadow mesh to them.
I think it makes them look a tad bit more real and not so plain...
They are normal mapped, but only with a texture generated normal map, so I hope I don't this the right way.
Not sure how to upload them, when I tried saving a cdp file from Content Manager in TS2010 I only got a file with no description, no previews, no nothing, and my old TRS2004 packer refuses to pack them as they are to new for him...
But, I will figure it out, and you shall have access to these by the end of the coming week.
Till next time, remember to mop up all your drools, and drink plenty of water as I'm sure the requester of these models will post his own screenshots soon of them and what he used them for, and then you will drool all over again. LOL
Enough Linda, OK. LOL
Take care all, and best wishes
Linda
