UP Coast Subdivision DEM Anyone?

Does anyone have A DEM for North West California or San Jose To San Luis Obispo? The UP subdivision is The "Coast Subdivision" Amtrak 11 and 14 run over this line.

Fishlipsatwork (Paul Haglund) did these about 8 years ago. They come in three parts, four if you want to go all the way to Oxnard, as follows.

San Jose, KUID2: 59012:102134:1, about 75 route miles
Salinas, KUID2: 59012:102135:1, about 110 route miles
Vandenberg, KUID2:59012:102112:1, about 100 route miles
Ventura, KUID2:59012:102122:1, about 100 route miles

All are on the DLS. Search with the KUIDs and make sure you have the TRS2004 box checked. I am working with these and they are very good. My period is well before AMTRAK so I have to take the TIGER lines with a grain of salt, but they should be about spot on for you.

^^Beat me to it, Nice work :hehe:

If I remember right there is a DEM for Salinas to San Jose. It's on the DLS by Fishlipsatwork. He also has his site, I'm not sure if the DEM is there as well, but I'm pretty sure it's on the DLS. Site here: http://www.fishlips.net/Trainz/

Ok so which DEM goes from San Jose To Salinas Together ? And which DEM goes Salinas To San Luis Obispo ? Or is there just no DEM that goes between those points and I will have to merge ? If I do have to download and merge how do I merge Maps, that is really hard to me

The San Jose DEM includes both San Jose and everything timetable East to Salinas, actually goes from Santa Clara to just south of Spreckels Junction. To get from Salinas to SLO you need to merge Salinas and Vandenberg, which actually gets you all the way to Surf, about 10 or 15 miles south of SLO. You could merge them all into one route (!), or, as I did, connect them with iPortals.

Just to it is clear, to make one humongoroute you need to merge the first three. Merging routes is sometimes dicey and I have never tried it. I'll leave that to someone who has done it rather than risk giving you a bum steer.
