Unmoderated Suggestion Boxcar

After reading others' posts about their suggestions and ideas not appearing in the official Suggestion Boxcar, why not just do it by this thread! I too have posted a few times in that forum, and have been disappointed by the lack of them appearing...

My suggestions-

-New, updated GUI/Interface. Its time for a change in GUI appearance- in my opinion.
-A utility of such that would check tracks for errors- such as missing junction levers. The utility would locate and name the specific offending junction and either allow you to fix automatically, or manually.
-Driver logbook

I'm sure there is a good reason why the Suggestion Boxcar is how it is - it prevents problematic threads.

As for your suggestions:

1. A change in the interface may confuse users of older versions of Trainz, who are used to the current interface.
2.To implement your second suggestion, would probably require a fair bit of coding etc.
3.The third idea sounds reasonable to me, but as I've not seen a driver logbook yet, it would be interesting to see one.

The Suggestion Forum is for posting suggestions for the next version of Trainz, and it is moderated as it has been for quite sometime.

In some instances the suggestion has been made before, while in others, it is simply a request for the creation of a specific asset and so forth.

Please don't be put off because your suggestion does not get approved, and yes that Forum is viewed every day by Moderators. No one is being ignored.

Cheers

AJ

Given the stupid threads here in general over the last few days, I can't see N3V moving any forum to less moderation. To do so would be foolish.

Hey! :p

Any thread that is submitted to the Suggestion Boxcar forum must be approved by a moderator before it will be publicly viewable. Before posting a suggestion, it might be a good idea to search that forum to see if it has already been suggested. If it has not, and it is a suggestion for e. g. a new feature in Trainz and not e. g. a new asset as AJ said, then submitting a new thread about your suggestion might be a good idea. ;)

Regards.

Posting an unmoderated suggestion thread has as much potential for success as the unofficial "Off Topic" threads have had over the years. Think about it.
