Must have been like a locomotive diesel engine block inside a passage car
I had never known of one like #2066 either but it appears to have exist. See the link below for photos, a diagram of the cars, and discussion as to there origin and purpose. #2066 may have been a one-of-a-kind with the "hump" on top.

Built by SLCC in 1960 as Postal Storage Car UP 5816. Renumbered UP 903677 while in MOW service as a tool car. Rebuilt by UP as Power Car UPP 2066 in 2004. It was on the rails as part of the UP Heritage Fleet as late as 2011.
