Unable to patch TRS2010

I purchased 2010 a while ago and haven't even used it yet. I have a 3.1GHz w/4GB... Win7-64bit. Installation when fine. Version 42203 out of the box. Restarted.

Tried running patch 42203 to 43434. It seemed to stop half way... Using Process Explorer, I could see that the process looked like it was stuck in a loop.

I uninstalled, restarted and reinstalled. Restarted again and tried patch 42203 to 44088. Again, seems to stop half way. The patch runs JAConverter which then runs another process, "ipatchl-23w.exe"

So I uninstalled again, restarted, shut off my anti-virus, reinstalled, restarted and tried patching again.

Any clues or ideas? And please don't tell me to skip 2010 and buy 2012.

Thanks,
Joe

Hi Joe,

It is normal for it to pause about half way, as JAConverter is patching the core .ja files that hold the built-in content. This does not mean it has failed, and it will complete in it's own time.

Average time for most patches (apart from TS12 patches) is 2-3 hours. The .ja files that it patches are more than 500MB each, and in the case of TS2010 and possibly TS12, certain ones are around 1GB in size.
