I have just downloaded Summer UMR 2010 off the Download station unsing the download helper. It is my first attempt at finding then downloading anything directly off the DLS. It said the route was 64 Mb but after downloading the first part it listed many many items with the red and black DS icon beside them and went on to and the total download was actually 271Mb. Is this normal?
While a few of the asstes have the yellow exclamation mark the route icon itseld has the yelloe jigsaw with the quesation mark and when I click on view dependencies etc the list says that there are two unknown kuids They are

While a few of the assets have the yellow exclamation mark, wqhich I understand is nothing to worry about, the route icon has the yellow jigsaw with the question mark in it and when I click on 'view dependencies' the list tell me that the first two unknown ones. They are 45324:24308:1 and 45324:24345:1.
Can someone who also has this route tell me please if I can just delete them? They are listed as unknown, the route appears in Surveyor so are they necessary?
Also can someone tell me what era the route is from? There are no locos and rolling stock with it so I would appreciate it if someone could tell me what would be the most appropriate Locos and rolling stock? Thanks in advance

Put 2: in front of the kuids, they are both searchlight signals by norfolksouthern37, I recall having similar problems.
 
Thanks for all your replies. I have read the authors thread and he also mentions the need to get the two searchlight signals
However I have been onto the Jointed rail site page [thanks William] found the downloads and hit it but it doesnt download. I dont get the Save / Run download window when I click on the active link.
All I see is one green 'light' down in the progress window to indicate a download has started then it goes straight to the end as if its been downloaded. It says its been done but cant be that quick for a 5 Mb file and I cannot find it anywhere either so I presume it really hasnt been downloaded at all. Anyone know what I need to do on this website to get the download going? What am I doing wrong? The actual web address is in Williams post above. Cheers

It is a big route with a lot of dependencies.

There is no rolling stock with the route, the route author has a base session on the DLS and there are a few others. I have a few sessions for that route also on the DLS, just search using my username.

William, As suggested I have done a search on ther Download station using your username for sessions for UMR 2010 in 2009 SP4/2010 and it comes up No Downloads. Is there something I'm not doing right or are they in 2009?

Edit: Apologies. After sending the above I went back and had another try. Found and downloaded 3 of your sessions. Thanks for that. Now just the jointewd rail site isue
Any ideas?

The link I included should bring you to the page for downloading the signals. Something I forgot to add was a link to the coronas which are required http://jointedrail.com/index.php?option=com_acfilepayments&view=download&Itemid=132, what issue are you having with the Jointed Rail site?

I just noticed an earlier post of yours.

It appears you have to register with the site, maybe that is the problem? When you try to download from Jointed Rail do you have Content Manager running? For me downloading from 3rd party sites seems to go better with Content Manager running (the game seems to pick up on the download then).

I wish everything where on the Download Station but it's not.

William, before I try that I have another problem. I've downloaded your 3 sessions but can only find one on CM and on that one I have a missing dependency. It is 2:45324:24010:2 Any ideas what it is, if I need it, and where to find it? Went back today to download the other two, Passenger Pass and JAFT1 but it tells me they have been Downloaded. Are they part of the Millhurst drop Off or are they stand alone? Even when I open the game, only Millhurst will appear. I'm a real beginner at this and have cocked it up somewhere. Any pointers what to do? Ine tried searching in CM on both your name and Kuid but without sucess. Cheers

2:45324:24010:2 is an invisible signal by norfolksouthern37 try http://www.auran.com/TRS2004/DLS_viewasset.php?AssetID=82173 , it is definitely required.

If they don't show up in game maybe they are open for edit and need to be committed. The passenger and Millhurst sessions both have HTML assets which need to be downloaded also.
 
IS that one link or two? If I treat it as one helink takes me to the Aurans 2004 DLS default page. Have tried to put the Kuid in the search on that download secrtion but comes up Not Found. I have a first class ticket but its not doing me a lot of good at the moment! I see the title JAFT 1 is listed under the ALL tab on CM but when I drag it to the download helper to try to download it I get the message 'Unable to Download JACT1. Couldnt obtain URL. Item could not be found on the Download Station'. Is that something I'm doing or is it something to do with the DLS? I have committee all I have downloaded
 
When Trying to down load 2:45324:24010:2 (Invisible Signal) from the station I find only 2:45324:24010:1 available for down load. The number 1 vs 2 at the end of the Kuid being the difference. I find 2:45324:24010:1 is present when checked out in the surveyor. It seems to be active. Content page still shows 2:45324:24010:2 as a missing dependent. Is it absolutely neccesary to have the 2:45324:24010:2 version? If so any ideas, 2:45324:24010:2 is not downloadable only 2:45324:24010:1.?

2nd and slightly seperate. When running morning passenger service, all of the trains I run across while proceeding from station to station ( There is one right off the bat 30 seconds ahead of the train in it's start position) are stopped. No driver assigned. No drive orders assigned. Just sitting in middle of track unattended and not moving. Trainz version of a twilight zone episode. Is this by intent? Or am I missing something here?:o

William0d0- How do you do that?
I'm unable to downoad any of your saessions from the DLS, howver
my CM tells me that I have one, JAFT 1, but when found in CM it has the red/black DS icon alongside it so I go the Download helper to retrieve it off the DLS and ech time the red wornong line comes up at the bottom of the CM screen and says Unable to download cannot find the URL.
Any ideas

I cant help with the passenger service as Im unable to download it however to get the signals fixed you need to download the file from the jointed rial site plus one called 'coronas' as well.

My bad, I was using drivers which I downloaded from a 3rd party.

I have since deleted all non built-in drivers, the session has been edited to exclude any drivers you obviously would not have.

So many things to learn about uploading sessions.:o

Anyway, I am testing the new version and should have it uploaded in a day or 2.

In CM, click the "open for edit" tab, if you have any assets listed they need to be committed. Select any assets that need committing then Edit-> Commit or Ctrl+M.

I don't know about the unable to find URL problem.

I do not know how Trainz deals with assets of an earlier version.:o

If it is present in surveyor then I can only hope it will work. Since I have it and it is not on the DLS, my only conclusion is I got it as a part of something else I downloaded 3rd party.

There is still much I need to learn with regards to distributing sessions on the DLS.:o

I'm starting to see why downloadable sessions are so scarce for this game.
Having any 3rd party content can really throw a monkey wrench into the mix.
