UK Seton Line

Yet another freestyle UK layout! Sixty miles of route, from sea level to 1500 feet; coastal flats, industrial areas, mountains, snow etc. I'm posting these pictures because the route should be available on the DLS in the near future.

Here's a guided tour. We start at Seton, a small seaport.

UK Seton Line Part 2

I accidentally posted the first message before completion. Here's the real thing:

We start at Seton:

Seton Line Part 3

We now take the branch line from Overton to Achiltibuie, then back to Seton.

Heading towards Achiltibuie; climbing up to the high moors:

There's snow ahead!

A leased Swedish DMU battles snowdrifts and a 1:50 gradient at the Fairy Hillocks:

Achiltibuie, at 1500 feet, the highest point on the line. Snowsports is the chief industry.

At Huntly, Clashindaroch Forest provides logs:

And back at sea level, we approach Seton by the famous sea wall. Lucky it's not stormy!

That's all. We've already seen Seton.

Seton now on DLS

Sorry for the long delay, Lewisner.

Seton is now on the DLS, so you can analyse the coastline as much as you want in Surveyor.

I hope my humble effort helps you. As a tip, the secret of coastal flats is very gentle gradients in the topography. I achieve this by setting the deform tool (raise land) to its largest radius and its slowest speed and "wiping" it across the landscape. A single wipe produces a very gentle rise in the land.

Cheers
Holo
