U Guru.EXE

Ben1337

Trainz operator
Not sure if this is right but...

I've got a problem with an unknown program called U Guru that takes up 50% Of my CPU Useage.

Only normal games like trainz Takes up that much CPU usage which is a problem because If my CPU useage goes up to 100% then my game runs considerably slower then it should do.

I've tried ending the process but it wouldn't end. Plus I've tried deleteing the files but it said that it was being used by another program.

I've got a more of a temporary solution by setting it's priority. But it resets it's self everyday.

Got any solutions?

DO you have an ABit MOBO is so u guru is a overclocking/monitoring utility for the board which was probably loaded when the board was installed.I just
uninstalled mine.

"ABIT uGuru" can run at start up. Provides quick access to several Abit motherboard utilities - such as monitoring cpu temperature, fan speeds, overclocking, flashing of BIOS.

okay them, if you don't want it running, then go to the run box in the start menu and type in msconfig. Then go to the startup tab and untick UGuru. Then press OK. The system will probably say that it wants to restart, this is optional.

When you do restart, the system will open a box saying in effect: "You have modified the starup routine. Do you want to change it back?" Check the provided box so this won't happen every time you start up, and click OK.

Hope this helps!

well unfortunately I deleted all the files I could before you had written this post.

Is there a way of getting the files back?

Yes, UGuru should either be on the Abit website, or on the CD that came with your motherboard.
