Two years is a long time

Mike10 is a very familiar name for those who have been knocking around here for a while. Sadly, according to the post search (hmmm), it's two years today since Mike last posted on the Trainz forum.

Real life just got in the way I guess.

Must say when I have a yeuchy day or week or my occasional health blips I am glad of Trainz getting in the way! I even delayed a meal date once with a lady friend of mine due to a build that I decided wasn't going to allude me. Don't know whether I had succumbed to daftness but she was a patient lady and I solved the passing problem so good news on both fronts!

Psst!

I think I saw Mike10 making (selling) some stuff for Railworks. Perhaps one day he may come back. There were rumours that a new route(s) were being made by the team that Mike10 was in a couple of years ago for Trainz. Perhaps it's all hush, hush still?

The best way to get him to reply is to use bad grammer. I'se thunk E's veery hot on tat! :p

A lot of the UK producers jumped ship to that other Sim with it's so called better looks and higher financial returns , Add in the factor of an on going need to update older content to make it compatible with the constant stream of newer versions of Trainz and many got to the point where they decided it wasnt worth carrying on producing for Trainz.

I will say though that TS12 seems to have lasted at the top a lot longer than say 2009/2010 thus ensuring a more stable situation on which to provide content for .
Also that so called greener grass of that other Sim isn't looking so green now considering the amount of third party content breaking upgrades they keep throwing at it ;)

I'm aware of that, but I don't think he's either expanded his content beyond that which he produced more than a year ago, nor posted a great deal on 'Railworks sites' for at least a year.

I'll always be impressed by the care and effort he put into producing a virtually definitive set of Mk1s for Trainz. He's a top guy and much missed as a regular presence on these forums. :(

I'll second that statement! Mike10 always helped out if you was polite and courteous.

@nexusdj.

How true. To get that sim to work alot of the time, you need to have (and be able to understand and use) RW_Tools. If you just have one item missing, it's the `BSOD` (Blue screen of death) for you! :eek:.
