TS2009 Lost graphics

The case of the missing graphics I am using TS2009 that I recently upgraded with SP2. Now the graphics have completely disappeared no ground, no objects, no nothing just sky and pale blue nothingness. Sound is fine and everything is OK in surveyor but as soon as I switch to driver nothing but sky. :'(

This is normaly caused by the driver being missing. The train may have been derailed or has been placed wrong and driver it is unable to find it. Check the location of your first driver and his train and maybe move it to another point on the track.

All the trains and their drivers are at their starting points and have not moved. I can jump to each train in turn and they all appear to have their drivers but I can't see anything no detail at all. It doesn't matter which route I load they are all the same nothing to see but sky. The game is totally useless under these conditions. I think SP2 has caused the graphics to be blocked somehow.
