TS2009 looks no better than TS2004

Hi all!
I just recieved TS2009 as a gift for Christmas, and have been exploring it, but I noticed one thing; It looks no better than TS2004! There's no tall grasses, no 3D ties, nothing!
Did I do something wrong? Please help!

P.S. What layout is on the back of the TS2009 box, the one showing the ATSF locomotives Right below a coal train on the incline?

Correct, there are a few new assets but they are not used by any of the supplied routes.

TS2010 has the newer content although there is some newer content on the DLS. Essentially TS2009 is about performance not content and ups the poly counts and texture size that can be used together with improvements on the steam loco side but even here you need the new type of engine specs.

I GOT TRAINZ 2009

I think it is ok better than my V 1.3!

Open a blank board in Surveyor. Lay some default Auran track with some grass textures at min radius and minimum scale

You will see within 5 seconds that TS2009 is way better than TRS2004.

You now have the tools, the actual routes and locos will be coming in the future given these tools.
