TS12 Help, or maybe I am just dumb...

I purchased TS12 to drive trains, at least in the beginning. I started in the tutorials. The instructiion panels get in the way of seeing what you are doing. BUT if you close them there is NO way to get them back without starting over. There is one panel that says you can click the help button in the lower right panel. But there is no help button there. In fact help is non-existant in TS12.
I then proceeded to Quickdrive. It was fairly easy to bring up a scene and add a consist to the track, BUT there are NO locomotives available. So other than the cars rolling slowly down the track due to gravity. No action.
I am sure that there is something I do not understand about TS12 that I need to learn. But without a manual on the specifics I cannot figure it out. :'(
Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong, or point me to the proper place to look this stuff up.

Hi you have a pdf manual for TS12. If, when you start trains, you click on the manual button it should load the manual if you have adobe reader.

If it doesn't you will have to go into the trainz folder on your drive look in extras folder and then documentation folder it should be in there.

In here is the pdf file you will need adobe reader to view this file.

Welcome to the Trainz forums and to the wonderful and addicting world of Trainz where your life will be consumed forever. :)

With TS12, you can actually bring up the tutorial instructions, or session instructions at any time. There are some buttons located at the very top right hand part of the screen. One of them is the session instructions. I can't remember which one it is because I've only tried the driver sessions yesterday after I have installed this version.

I would say hover over the buttons and I think they'll give you some information, or experiment and click on each one and get some information on what they do.

Hi,
If you hit the F7 key, a panel pops up on the upper right corner. Click on "Toggle session instructions", then the instructions will be on your screen again.

I'm in the same boat with TS12. Couldn't figure out how to add locomotives are add specific consists. Haven't gone back to that yet as am running lines in Mojave currently.

Adding Locos and Consists

When you start Trainz, select the desired route, click on Add Session then click on Create Session. Now click the Trainz tab and add locos and rolling stock. If you select the question mark the click on the newly added loco you can name the consist and save it for use in other sessions.
