Trying to find a user for permission

Owner of ZPW.
I'm trying to look for Magandy here on the forums to get permission from him, but I haven't found a single post by him. Has Magandy ever made a post, or did he never make a single post?
 
I already tried to email him using that email, and another user I believe told me that he did not use that email anymore.
 
I already did search Magandy in the search box last night, and did not find a single post. I guess I may have not been looking. :o
 
Magandy has retired from Trainz for personal reasons. I do not know if anybody else has inherited his assets, which one were you looking for permission with and what exactly do you plan to do with it ? ?

I did not have ANY intentions at bumping a 2009 thread. I'll have to email him. @itareus, I want to get his permission to re-upload his old murdoch model, for those who want it.

Can I suggest contacting cmburgess who has taken over UKBL the group that Andy led. I believe he keeps in touch with Andy.
 
I already PM cmburgess, and he said he can't give me the permission, because he did not build Murdoch. Magandy did. And besides, if I do get the permission from Magandy to re-upload the model, then the T&F community will go straight after the model

Seems that people, wanting to take other peoples stuff (OPS), and ripping assets from other video games, and wanting to upload those OPS assets to the DLS, under your own name ... might cause you problems, legal and mechanical wise ... some people get greatly offended when someone re-skins their loco, doing a poor job of it, and wanting to be able to upload it to the DLS, claiming that it is your own asset. If you can't get explicit E-Mail permission ... permission is DENIED
 
Did I say I was uploading the model right now? NO! Please read the full story before you say such a thing. I'm awaiting it. I starting to think that when I emailed him last time, that I was asking if he still had Murdoch. I'm awaiting to get his permission, because, you can't get Murdoch anymore, due to his part on UKBL being gone. EDIT: He replied and said not to upload it, so that's that.

A user did get through to Magandy who said that his Thomas content can be distributed via email but NOT uploaded to the DLS or a hosting site.

I can dig up the email if need be because it was sent to me for proof.

Why are you bothering to re-upload the content? Even if you do get a hold of Magandy, he will say no. Let Si3D take care of the Thomas related items..

IIRC there were copyright problems, with the owners of the franchise, affecting the Thomas series models and that's why they were withdrawn.

My advice would be to forget about releasing Magandy's Murdoch.
