I've not had any troubles like that. What is the kuid number of the turntable you have a problem with?

Bob
hi i dont know the kuid number's to the turntable's but i can say that it is all of them I.E the one's that came with the game and ones downloaded from the dls. :'(

I had the same problem, but I unfortunately don't have a solution for you. It did it for me on the Toronto route when I had issues with it. I didn't have any problems with it, however, in 2009.

Hello Darrenclark,

Just like Jadebullet, I have turntables that don't work right in my 2006 (with Service Pack 1..version 3335). Especially the ones in the Toronto Rail Yards ... and there are some others that also don't work right any more.

These turntables used to work well when I had the original 2006 (build 2761), with no service pack. Some other people have mentioned this also. But I have grown to accept the fact that it can't be fixed.

You will find that there are turntables that work smooth, and not worry too much about it. There are benefits from the newer versions of Trainz 2006. The Content Manager Plus works really well for downloading. Where I've heard bad things about the older 2006 CMP.

Just keep downloading stuff, some new locos and layouts and so on .... You'll see that many turntables work good and you'll enjoy all the new items!

Hang in there! Bob P.

Vosloo: These tutorials are very nice and well detailed. But it says nothing of the turntable problem. Before a service pack, used to work smooth. After that, it jerks. Auran has been consulted and knows of the problem. Still, no solution. A curious note: At the same time the turntable started jerking, we lost lights from lamp posts (same SP).

I was trying to direct you to a turntable that works very well, in my case anyway.

this is all realy strange and so frusterating i bought trs06 thinking it would be better then trs04 but its not!! not realy!! yes it look better and all that but due to the probolems with the turntables and such i have now gone back to playing trs04 at lest it all works.lol but then i wasted good money on trs06 for no reson:'( oh well live and learn trs04 may not look as good as trs06 but its still a grate game:D

Perhaps your computer?

Hi Darren,
I have also had difficulties with '06 and graphics problems. So a couple of things to consider. How much memory does your computer have? Have you updated the memory cache in the Options screen? It should be half of your installed memory.
How about your video card? If it's an on-board card, there a whole world of problems there for TRS06. Perhaps a nice nVidia card might help your computer better cope with the rigorous graphical environment that '06 demands. Also, look on the Forums here for ways to tweak the trainzoptions file. There are many tweaks and improvements that can help you with graphical issues.
Lastly, if your computer does not have an SATA hard drive, then I would consider this most strongly. I found that when I had '06 on my older computer that had a PATA hard drive, it just could not load up stuff fast enough. After I upgraded to a newer motherboard and an SATA drive, it was a night and day kind of difference.
Hope this helps

Hi,

The trouble you are having with the turntables is caused by a high load on your graphics card. Turntables are usually in a highly detailed area i.e. near a terminus station or a MPD with lots of scenery around. To prove this, start a new 1 board layout with just the turntable you are having trouble with and a bit of rail to run a loco off and on the turntable, no scenery and use a loco that is not too high poly. I think you will find in that environment the turntable in question will work smoothly.

I have TRS2004 and TRS2006 installed on the same disk, different folders, and they do not interfear with each other.

Cheers,
