Continuing to try out TRS22 multiplayer sessions and running into issues.

The latest is trying session 04 Multiplayer Session in Kickstarter Country 2.
Attempting to start the session gives me an unofficial asset message on PBR(TRS3) Asphalt Cracked.
Content Manager shows it installed.

Same error when trying the Free Drive - Multiplayer session in Model TrainZ: Chicago

What gives?

What gives?
<kuid2:661281:85223:1> is shown as an "Unknown asset" in all my versions of Trainz (Trainz Plus SP7, Trainz Plus SP8 beta and TRS22PE SP7). I also checked for any previous asset versions and that also drew a blank.

My understanding of how Multiplayer Surveyor (which I have never used) works is that all the assets used in a route/session have to be available on the DLS or built-in. If that is the case then it would explain the "Unofficial asset" message.

I'm showing PBR Asphalt Cracked being "Built-in" But the AssetID for PBR(TR3) Cracked Asphalt is slightly different having a :1 at the end of the asset ID.

Mine is a stock TRS22 installation as far as I know with my Gold Membership. I've only added Model Trainz:Chicago from the Download Station. It's multiplayer version also generates the same Unofficial asset message.

<kuid2:661281:85223:1> is showing as "Unknown asset" in my TRS22PE but <kuid:661281:85223> (removing the "2" at the front and the ":1" at the back) shows as "PBR Asphalt Cracked" and is built-in. The "<kuid2:" at the front and the ":x>" at the back (where the x is an integer from 1 to 128) indicates an updated version of an asset.

Normally, if an update (a "<kuid2:" at the front and ":x"> at the rear) to an asset that is already installed becomes available on the DLS then Trainz will automatically download and install it or you can do it manually. The update will then be used in all routes/session that were using the previous version.

<kuid:661281:85223> is showing as "Built-in" and with a dependent (an asset that uses it) <kuid2:661281:200039:11> Kickstarter County 2 (TRS22). This is showing as "Built-in, payware" so both the route and the Asphalt asset were installed with the program. If an update on the DLS was available for <kuid:661281:85223> then <kuid:661281:85223> will show in Content Manager as "Built-in, newer version available", which it does not.

As I posted earlier, in Multiplayer routes and sessions ALL the assets have to be available on the DLS or Built-in. Since <kuid2:661281:85223:1> is not on the DLS or Built-in then its use in a multiplayer route would be unauthorised or "Unofficial". Is it possible that someone has been editing this route and has added the asset from a 3rd party source (I do not know enough about Multiplayer to do anything other than speculate)?

Fill out a bug report at https://n3vgames.typeform.com/to/xRdryu and fill in all the details including <kuid> codes and the error message you are getting.

Thanks for the help with this. I opened a support ticket with TrainZ support and it's been fixed.

Here's the solution that worked:
1) Double click the Trainz icon on your desktop
2) Click on Manage Content on the initial launch window
3) Enter the following into the search box at the top right:
<kuid2:661281:85223:1>

I had to change the Filter at the top left from "Installed" to "All Content" to find that asset.

When located, right click on the asset and click on 'delete'.

This resolved the issue for me.

Pete
