Ok its making a bit more sence. lol well I have played Classics before but, as I have read it isnt very good at supporting downloads for it, and is a bit limited, seems like it has a bit less stuff and a lot less dependencies for the stuff i like. I remember when I played it I had lots trouble getting a few locomotive to work for it, and seemed like every 3-4th loco I downloaded would work properly but the rest wouldnt, and I didnt remember paint shed on it, since a lot that i liked needed it to run and seemed like they wouldnt work with out it, but that may have changed that or it may have to be downloaded for it.
I am a big diesel loco fan and like the SD70ACe and ES44AC and MP15AC and a few others. I was wandering if the main version was better at this and still came with CMP and paint shed? like the one with the NS loco on it or the case with the TGV type loco? I will probly download a lot of extras and love to build my own routes and download some routes. Those links have helped a lot.
I also planed on getting the RailDriver which on there site comes with Trains Classics but wasnt sure. seems like paint shed now that i think of it may have been my main reason/problem why I couldnt get a lot of things to work. I know most dependencies you can get with the download at the Trains DLS
also will these work with windows 7?
Also is trains classics two games (classics and TRS2006), that might be what is confusing me and what is it called on DLS or would it be under the two catigories for the two games?
Thanks for all the info. it helps greatly!
Sorry for all the questions, just want to make sure Im getting what I want before I just run off and spend all the money and realize it wasnt what I thought. lol
Also the trainz wikipedia says this (is this refering to the classics part or 2006?):
Trainz Classics (first installment of the series was released on July 9, 2007) is a series of releases based on
Trainz Railroad Simulator 2006 but with some improvements to the coding and instead of having a lot of built in content like
Trainz Railroad Simulator 2006, each release instead has only one or two routes with some rolling stock and locomotives made for that route. The series attempts to focus on a particular region and point in time of the region's railway infrastructure history, for example the current release is focused on the line of Settle-Carlisle in Great Britain in the 1960's.
Trainz Classics 3 was released on July 23, 2008. Trainz Classics is known for having limited backwards compatibility, due to the limited built-in content, making it hard to find and install addons, as only few have been created for Trainz Classics, and only select other content is compatible, depending on the dependencies required (for example, some routes will work because of having similar objects, but locomotives will not due to incompatibilities in the .ja files, etc.).
Thank you again,
