After running a big boy for a few hours on that old BNSF Chicago line I made so long ago, I finally decided to get one for my HO guage model railroad. I ordered an Athearn genesis big boy with sound #4019!

I've been waiting for a long time to buy one of those. Trainz brought me to it.

I should receive the item either on thursday or friday of this week. Can't wait!

Great to hear that you are doing this, but isn't driving the big boy in trainz a better experience, what with the sounds, and the cab, and the way you can reset everything if you break something?:hehe:

Guess you need a big Ho layout to run a Big Boy. I used to run one on a N gauge layout and that was big enough.

No, the athearn one will run 18" minimum radius. my minimum is 22" so it runs fine. Sounds great! There are like 20 so whistles and 5 bells to choose from.
