TRS-2008 CCP

I have just bought and installed TRS-2008
When I got this I thought it was a French version of 2006 complete with the service pack, but I was wrong

It appears to be a mix of 2006 and TC
Never mind it installed OK ? and runs smooth and came complete with the La Trains en France packs 1 to 4 plus the resource Disk

But now I have a small problem
It opens and connects to the download station no problem
and the downloads are OK

but when in Content Manager I can open for edit in Explorer but if I try to edit in CCP it refuses and tells me CCP is nit responding!!

I am using Vista and The check box in CCP.exe has been ticked to run as administrator

does anyone have any light to throw on this subject

I have noticed that sometimes CCP fights with CMP over resources. Try closing CMP once you have begun the process of starting CCP.

Not to hijack your thread, but how awesome are the assets in La Trains en France packs... :)

I have noticed the same issue with base 06, so I doubt its vista related.

Is CMP running twice by any chance?

I dont think so (but never checked)
I know its not a vista thing as I have 2006 on this same computer and it runs OK no problem

Also in 2008 in CMP in the menues some of the items are in a different language and are double

Like there is no " Select all items " but 2 " Select Nothing"
but never mind the one you click on all items are selected and you can comit them, but thats just a small problem, not being able to use CCP is a big problem !!

As to the content "La France en Trains" yes I agree is very good , a bit short on animated points at the moment, ( needs more ) no curved options or different size ( at least not in the packs that came with the program) I will have to connect to their site to see if there are others available, or even an option to build your own like in EEP ( that would be good) the signaling system is great aswell, although it still needs a way to control crossings.

by the way this is all running on my new laptop
Acer Aspire 9920
Intel duo 1.66 / 4 gig ram / nvidia GeForce 8600M GT 512 Mb ram / wifi, bluetooth , plenty usb slots /2 HD 230GB each/
and all for 1199 Euro

runs trainz real smooth with all settings at max
