TRS 2006

Service pack files have two numbers in their names.

The first number must match exactly with your current build number, which is reported on the Trainz main menu.

The second number is the build number which will result after installing the service pack.

Service packs for one version or regional language edition of Trainz cannot be used with any other.

You can jump directly from TRS2004 with no service pack, SP1, SP2 or SP3 straight to SP4 in one go.

TRS2004 went up to SP4.
TRS2006 went up to SP1.
TS2009 is currently on SP1 with SP2 in development. It's also had some emergency patches.

can this be downloaded into trs06

Hi revans,
Your reference to service pack three just indicates that the asset you are asking about was created as trainz-build 2.3, and this means that it should work just fine in TRS2006, which is either 2.5 or 2.6 depending on whether or not you installed SP1.

Unfortunately, the asset appears to be broken, with errors in both the building (industry) and the product files. I just downloaded it and it won't work for me either. You might try emailing the author, or perhaps someone here will know how to fix it.

TRS2006 build 3337 Trainz Railways (full version) Merscom, requires NO service pack:cool:
That is correct.

Or to put it another way, it already comes patched to SP1.

Similarly, some modern copies of TRS2004 come patched to its SP4 but AFAIK there's no way to know this before purchasing.

WS Kalkwerk is for TS2009 only. If you look in the config.txt file you'll see it says trainz-build 2.9. I download and commited it in TS2009 with errors, works and looks great.

No, actually if you look at the config it says trainz-build 3, and it is listed as a service pack 3 item on the DLS, which I think means that the DLS is confused about how to list this item and has listed it incorrectly. The author needs to correct this situation.

I totally agree i had got an email from the author with the new ones they didn't work at all so i sent him all of the errors.I also told that i was running TRS06 also he said he had sent letter to auran.

This should be a wake up call to everyone. Auran has created so many versions of Trainz with differing degrees of compatiblity that it is imperative that the first thing to do with a newly installed asset that is faulty, is to check the trainz-build tag in the config.txt file.
