Trouble with Obi1knobby's site

Hi

I am having a few problems with it at the moment,
Due to the fact that my web space provider keeps on
telling me they do not accomadate people who live at a
BFPO address and it looks like it will not be back up untill
I get back to the Uk in July. Sorry for any inconvineance.
Also as from the 24th of May I will have lost my computer
due to it being shipped back to the UK. Moving house and
country, oh what a great time.

Obi1knobby

I get the main page, but all the downloads are deadlinks - it's been like that for ages. As Obi explains further up, he's overseas without his computer, and presumably for longer than he had first expected.

Hm, the NTL host has 4 aliased IP's, which may account for it. Try connecting direct to any one of these:

62.253.162.12 (homepage02-win.server.ntlworld.com) - host alive, connection speed 127ms
62.253.162.178 (homepage01-winn.server.ntlworld.com) - host alive, connection speed 143ms
62.253.162.10 (homepage03-winn.server.ntlworld.com) - host alive, connection speed 189ms
62.253.162.11 (homepage04-winn.server.ntlworld.com) - host alive, connection speed 135ms

I dont get it. those keep directing me to virgin media

The former NTL cable network was merged into Virgin Media several years ago. They are now the monopoly provider of cable TV and broadband services in the UK.

Having not heard from obi1knobby for over two years and three months, I think you may have to give this up as a lost cause....
