Tranz 3 iOS - Stuck on Select a Path lesson

Just started with Trainz 3 on iOS. Completed the first lesson and on the 2nd lesson to Select a Path, I'm stuck. I made the switch change but it looks like I'm stuck with an overlay and I can't start the train. I've tried closing the app and restarting my phone, but when Trainz 3 relaunches, it remains in this same state. I've tried to tap/touch everything but no luck. Any suggestions? Screenshot:

I think you have to detach from the loco. So hold your finger on the landscape and a pop box appears with detach from loco. Then you can continue with the session.

I did that as the first step which allowed me to go up to the switch and change it. Doing it again doesn’t seem to change that the main screen controls are not enabling.

I was able to figure out a work around. I found a screen that showed the tutorials and then had it restart tutorial 2 and this time, after changing the switch, the "overlay" wasn't present and I was able to move the train forward.
