That highlights it but it also highlights all the other text on the page. Methinks I'll just give up and delete it. If its important he may have a friend that send it again in English.
Thanks anyway,
Ben
Ben,
Sorry, just seen this again today. If you've not cracked it yet, or given up then try this step by step guide:
Get your cursor lined up at the start or end of the Russian text passage you want to translate.
Press left mouse button, keep it pressed and drag the cursor over just the bit you want to select. It will turn blue.
Then make sure your cursor is positioned over the blue highlighted text (important) and then press the right mouse button.
You'll see a box come up. Select 'Copy'.
That will magically store the selected text in your computer.
Go into your chosen translator. I use Google. This link will take you directly to the Russian option
http://translate.google.co.uk/?hl=&i...=&sl=ru&tl=en#
In Google translate get your cursor over the oblong box with the gold banded edging at the top of the screen and press right mouse button. Select 'Paste'.
Your Russian text should appear in the box. Then press the translate button just below the box. The English translation should then appear further down the screen.
Some translations can be a bit inaccurate, but you can usually get the gist (at least in Italian).
The Ctrl C & Ctrl V will also work, as others have mentioned, and its a bit quicker, but the method above will allow you to see what's going on until you get the hang of it.
Cheers
Casper
