Transfering 2006 assets to Trainz Classic

Transfering 2006 contennt to Trainz Classics a new problem!!
I have spent a complete whole day Moving all of the World folder's .ja files as described in the directions that was very well explained by Nicolaas and all went well, then I had realized that the oneway traffic did not work anymore and all the new Trainz Classisc carz were gone and back to the old ugly ones as I mean the ones that had no good looking Tires and night time head lights for night time. Also there is a bell tryng to ring all of the time in one of my maps. I also lost all of the trains new downloaded consists, the cars and locomotives will not work anymore. Just sharing to you my outcome of what I had found out throught this trial and error. I do hope that someone with more talent than me will figure all this out. To all you great folks,:wave: keep up the great work! I will stick with 2006 for now until things get figured out for the Trainz Classics. I have added this new post to the main sreen to warn of the time that can be spent all to find out that marrying the 2006 and the trainz Classics can be problematic at best so far.

At last! Someone else reporting this. I could not get the bell to stop ringing so eventually shelved Classics and went back to 2006.

My Own Custom Map

It was one of my own cutom maps that I had started from nothing that is now about 400 square miles large.:wave:

I'm glad I didn't try this....I don't understand the reasoning behind Classics, every route I have put in it has gobs of missing stuff. Also, only my opinion, I think the 3D engine used in TRS06 looks way better than Classics. I guess I spent $19.95 on two routes I don't even like and a GUI re-model!

TrainZ Classics deletion

I have also removed the TrainzClassics from my computer and just am using the TRS2006. I moved all the assets / downloads etc to my running TRS subdirectories and may have picked up some additional rolling stock or assets, but am using the Content Mgr to download appropriate or new items I feel I can use. The TrainzClassics was making my computer run slow and hot. Since removing it. it is running cooler and somewhat faster. I had already purchase the Modula Program for the TRS2006 and was disappointed with the new lines that came with Classics.

I'm with you on this one sgtredd. Can't understand the logic of the Classics direction. I have tried it but sticking with 06 even though I have tried Classics and would have loved the trams.
