help it was working a few days ago but now it quit. when i try to open the game i get this error

renderingsystem failure

your computer and or software is unable to communicate correctly with trainz. Ensure you have drectX9 installed the drivers for your video card (I.E at www.nvidia.com or www.ati.com) tried both opening GI and directX settings. Trainz launcher-> configure trainz> display settings. if the above does not work please consult your manual or visit technical support at http://www.auran.com/trainz/technical_support.htm
i have uninstall and re-installed the game no go. did a system restore no good. installed a updated version of directx9 nothing. after system restore i get there errors

If this is '06 , run Trainzdiag.exe, located in the Bin folder, click on the icon . Sounds like a possible video driver update ?

The latest Catalyst 8.3 supports your card and OS.

Browse down to " AMD Chipset Product Support"

Please, be aware that you are doing this at your own risk. :p Don't throw me stones if something goes wrong, please, it hurts.

May I suggest you that your comp is not very strong-powered for our hungry TRS2006?

Interesting...the security certificate for the website, is showing something TOTALLY different to the 'official' ATI security certificate, one would expect.

well what i will do is install it on my other computer that is the exact copy of this one(one was bought online the other in the store) if it works then my computers graphics card is fried

That's a good way to test if the computer is working properly. Have you run MemTest86? This will run a complete test of your system memory just in case that is causing problems. I had a problem before where the program would crash randomly and produce a memory error similar to the one you received. Memtest was able to pinpoint an error, and I replaced one of the DIMMS. I've had no other problem like this since.

The other thing too if you are getting other problems besides those with Trainz, and your PC passes the MEMTest86 tests, you might consider a reinstall of Windows. Copy your Trs2006 local folder to another drive or backup to DVD(s) along with all other documents, etc., reformat the drive and reinstall. A corrupt operating system can cause numerous problems similar to the ones you're seeing.

GOOD NEWS. I installed a new video card and the game works again had to reinstall it though. this time everything has a green checkmark by it. The card is a ATI radeon HD 3450 with 512MB ram.
