Trainz Steam Loco Records

You are reading this.
I am wondering two things:
1. Is there somewere that has Trainz records?
2. Is there a record for the highest psi (Pounds per Square Inch) made in a Trainz steam locomotive?

I am into record breaking at the moment, after getting the Guinness Book of Records 2010 for my birthday, and seeing the record for Longest Toy Train Track at the Ipswich Railway Workshops. I would like to set a record for the highest psi on a Trainz steam locomotive. I am also wondering, what TC3 loco has the potential to be the highest? I got up to 230 psi on the Black 5 on the weekend, and I am trying to reach 300 psi! I saved the session at 210 psi, which is normal for the Black 5.

Thanks in advance!

:D

Chris Bergmann AKA Windwalkr, I believe holds the Trainz Speed record being no doubt the first to take a train to the speed of light by re-tuning an F7 hotrod enginespec in 2002.

The locomotive was never seen again. :hehe:

Hi, is this in cab mode or DCC mode? You will have to change the config file to increase the boiler pressure in DCC, you might get a higher pressure in cab mode if you turn the blower up full, the injector up full and shovel like you know what. But you will have to be generating more steam than the safety valves can handle.

Cheers,

This is in Cab mode, and I am aware of going over the safety valve's limit. I drive the Lickey Incline route in TC3 and I was able to build up 4 psi going backwards up the incline with no wagons. The safety valves blow around 220/225 psi.

Another question, where is the blower in the A3? It's my favourite loco and I want to use it properly. Also, what is the keyboard shortcut for the blower?

I have set a record. It currently lies at 251 psi in the 9F on the route Lickey Incline, just 49 psi off. Here are some pics showing the loco's progress:

Click on the pictures to enlarge. Uploaded using Host then Post. Just coastin' down the hill. Stuff the speed limit, I was going 53mph at the end of the hill! Could I please have a link to a list of Trainz records, please?

The keyboard shortcut is N = blower up SHIFT+N = blower down.

What version of the A3 are you using? There's more than one available.

Thanks for that. I am using the standard TC3 A3. I think the other A3s have the same cab. The TRS2006 versions did.
