Trainz Simulator for Mac

I'm very glad to have found Trainz! I want to purchase Trainz for Mac and am wondering if Trainz for Mac is the same as Trainz 12.

If I get Trainz for Mac will the same locomotives work on the mac as the 12?

Thanks for any help you can give to push me in the right direction. I prefer Mac but do have a Windows machine as well.
