Trainz Simulator 2009 Won't run

Installed and everything had checks in Windows 7, but won't start. I could use some help.

What are your system specs such as video card, cpu, etc. These are helpful for us to troubleshoot your problem unless we can visit you in HI.

When you say won't start. Does it get to the launcher screen?
Can you run CM2? (Content Manager 2).

I think you need to come and help. I have the follong:
Intell 2 CPU @ 2.40 GHZ
Memory 4.00 GB
Nvida Geforce GTX 260

When I click start, I get the message Trainz is not running.

Hi Bill,

Few things to check out:

Run TrainzDiag,exe - Its in the Auran TS2009 folders somewhere. See if this gives any errors (this should have run during the install).

Run DXdiag.exe and check for errors.

Make sure the drivers for your video card are up to date (and the correct ones for Win 7).

Have you installed and tried to run Trainz as "Administrator" or whatever W7 calls it? You will need to do this for it to run.
