Trainz Simulator 2009-AI Yard Switching Problem

I just recently completed a route in Trainz 2009. I am trying to program a train to do some yard switching. I want it to drive onto a siding and couple with some tank cars, but when it tries to do so, it stops in front of the red signal in front of the siding because of the tank cars. Is there a way I can get it to overlook the signal?

Couple in front/behind signal command might work. You'll have to name the signals.
Ideally with AI shunting/switching you don't want signals between the loco and the wagons.

Do you know where i can get the couple in front/behind signal command?

Another way is to place a track mark at the couple point and give the command "couple at trackmark <kuid2:57145:81100:1>". The engine will stop at the signal then continue to the track mark and couple to what ever is there.

Even using couple at trackmark I kept running into the same problem, made a set of dwarf signals;

PON Dwarf_Signal_USA_L02 Absolute,<kuid:522774:100110>
PON Dwarf_Signal_USA_02 Absolute,<kuid:522774:100111>
PON_Dwarf_Signal_USA_L02_Permissive,<kuid:522774:100020>
PON_Dwarf_Signal_USA_02_Permissive,<kuid:522774:100021>

The last two are the ones you want for the switch at the yard entrance, or any switch in the yard, they'll be red over red if the track is occupied by a loose consist, but since they're permissive signals the AI will pass them. Just make sure you don't add another absolute signal between them and the consist it's supposed to couple to.

I agree with Sniper. An AI driver will not pass a red, stop signal unless it is permissive. Ideally don,t have a signal at all but if you do it must be a permissive one. Then as Lewis said place a trackmark etc. If you still have problems try placing a trackmark close to (but not too close) say about 2 locomotive lengths to whatever you are trying to couple to, issue a "drive to trackmark" command followed by "couple to" You may have to adjust the position of the trackmark.
