Trainz Plus Gold Membership

First off I apologise if this is in the incorrect forum but...

I have the Gold Membership for Trainz and I also have a whole bunch of Reward Points for Trainz that I am not going to use on DLC because I have the Gold Membership. Now some of these reward points offer vouchers for the store so my question is can these points/vouchers be redeemed against a month (or more if I have the points) of Gold membership or are they basically just going to be sat in my inventory forever more because I won't use them?

This is something that only N3V can answer. I recommend sending in a ticket to the Helpdesk. Right now, however, they are on holiday until after the new year so I'm not sure you'll get a response immediately from N3V until sometime after that.

It's a good question to ask because I'm also in the same boat. What good is it to have the points if we can't use them. If anything I would like to transfer them to someone else who could use them.

Pretty sure not all DLC is available free or rather on loan with plus. Personally even though I am on Plus if I wanted to keep a particular bit of DLC, I would buy it as I have the normal version before I got plus and Plus is purely a loan of DLC until you stop subscribing.

According to THIS PAGE Gold and Silver includes access to ALL DLC content (plus store discounts if you care to buy outright). Trainz Plus provides access to "plus" quarterly (beta) releases and access to full beta stream.

Summary: Plus provide beta releases, Gold and Silver provides discounts and borrowed DLC.

Yeah and normally I am subscribed outright, but some fun with the DWP has affected my subscription status for now. I have some items anyway, but getting the Gold Membership was the best move for me and I liked having everything there. The discounts again are also kind of pointless to people who are content to loan, unless a brand new game comes out.

This is accurate to a degree. If memory serves, the brand new content doesn't go in immediately though or they may have changed that when they did the recent upgrade from 5 items a month to the current format, either way I can usually wait long enough for the items to enter the vault anyway.

I have received today an offer with the Trainz loyalty discount. But what is the use of the reward points if you are already a golden member since with that specifity we can dowwnload all the DLC's?

Sorry I missed this thread earlier. To answer you, we're working on a solution for the reward points for Gold Members and of course you can also use your points to purchase items in the even you decide to cancel your membership.

Chris - in theory Gold Members should not have received that particular email. It appears your email address slipped through the filtering process.

There are plans for a membership reward coming up later in the year.
