been hearing a lot of bad vibes about the new trainz sim no inprovement at all just crap have to turn the shadow off make it work some say that its still like the old one

I wouldn't go that far, it looks a million times better than 10, 12 ... The problem seems with allot of laptops, and some desktops, do not have adequate hardware to run T:ANE to it's full potential

I love the new version. Yes it does take a fast machine to get all its potential. I will not go back TANE is much better.
