I just had the thought. :eek: AHH Run!:hehe:

I was thinking of a monthly Mag that show current hot topics/projects here at the forums. :cool:
It would kinda be in these topics (No order)

Big Story of Month
Mod/Admin Desk (Stats of forum and Trainz.)
New Members of the month
Hot member (Favorite member in that month)
New Releases
Hot Projects
Top Downloads
3rd Party Site News
Most Talked about Screens
Interview(s) of Month
Special Page (Other stuff thats cool or something)
Info about Mag (contacting, ect)

What you guys think?

Good idea, but remember rule#1: The first person to make a suggestion of that nature is usually also the first person asked to implement it!!! :)

Indeed. :)

However, I could probably help with some graphics and the cover. One of my major pet peeves is things that look like a website from the year of Windows 95. :hehe:
 
I think if we all pitched in (and if one of is good at creating .pdf's) then it would be possible, the only thing is whether we all get tired of all the work that would be involved (editing for one). A magazine is something that requires constant refining and input, and I honestly question whether some of us would be willing to do that. Overall though I think its a great idea, it would be even greater if Lance & co. occasionaly throw something in.

I was actually thinking about running something like this for the VicTrainz group, but it didn't get very far. I would be happy to do the 3rd part updates for VicTrainz, and maybe help with some other stuff if needed :)

I would be happy to pitch in something. Im a newbie....maybe a "newbie corner" with some sort of helpfull little tidbit for ones that are just getting started.
 
Adam, good luck to you but I think you are wasting your time. People who seem keen to help often do not back it up with action. Remember our mag for the Whistle Stop? Many people knew about it, but only a tiny minority actually contributed any articles. (Me, you, Ish and BidMod).

Your mag is going to have to be something very special to get this lot interested. Sometimes I think they need a bomb under 'em!:p

Thats a great Idea!!

Lets see where we can go with this! If you have an article for this new magizine PM it to me by the the second the thrid week in January!
Ill see what 3rd Part Sites will do it.

One suggestion I would make if that's OK. Keep it friendly, constructive, informative and helpful. I think that just about everybody here is up to their back pockets with dissing and negativity, not that I'm suggesting that you would do that.

I would check the articles with one of you guys to see if it is anything harmful or they would all go through me before the enter the mag.

Though I do agree with you. But lets not start something and get off topic.
