I know this is the wrong forum and Im am sorry but this has the most potential people to answer.
Is there a way to get Trainz in windowed mode?

I don't know about that, but I can hit the button with the Windows logo on my comp and get to my desktop view when running Trainz.

Moin,

Don´t know how it is in TS 2009 but in TS 2010 i unticked the "full screen" box in the main options menu and have changed the display option to 1024x768 on my 1400x900 screen laptop.
So it works fine here.

I run TC & TRS2006 in windowed mode, by changing the -fullscreen line in trainzoptions to read -windowed.

I set TC & TRS2006 to run in the next size down than what my PC is running as a resolution.

IDK about 09/10 versions though, how to do it.

I used Windowed mode a lot when making videos. You can get a good small AVI or Flash file running Trainz in 640 x 480, the cropping the screen even further with the screen capture software. It's the best way to do it for YouTube. it stops all the jerking, makes the videos fast to load and that makes a lot of people happy. I've been meaning to do a tutorial on it and maybe I will.

I used cascadeRailroad's method.

Hey JohnK,

What capture software do you use? I'm using FRAPS at the highest resolution and that's a pain.

thanks,
