Trainz getting stuck while is opening

This game is for the stubborn ones trust me some new players in the forum, better they know this old members here, our route builders, our loco makers and just old members like me. However if you are stubborn enough too, it has some magic moments to reward you in time.

having the same issue, pulled up the client log, looks like its scanning a .chump file data which says its damaged or wrong format. also under that it says unable to read package 703p... no idea what that is but it sits at 83 for a long time. task manager is showing 0% cpu, 0 Mbps on disk. This is frustrating

Alright guys. I did some tests and found out something interesting. When I changed the file name "trs22" to "trs22_backup", it changed everything. It didn't keep my stuff because none of my old assets or info were moved to the new file. I ended up going and then launching the game and I was logged out. When I logged back in, I hit start and it fired right up. It ended up going and changing the build file into a new build. But when I transfered all my old stuff over into the new build file, it ended up going and throwing the same error. Looks to me like its a content issue or issue with probably assets and not build related.

The once a month hard disk activity may be content validation. I've seen that before.

If the database is being validated, this will prevent Plus from loading and this can go on for a very long time. I know this from experience. If you check Task Manager, your hard drive is most likely pegged at 100% which is preventing anything from loading. Similarly, if the huge validation is happening, your DBR won't start because the disk is too busy. The issue is very reminicent of TS12 when this occurs.

Speaking of DBRs, I do the same with my content.
Well lets hope Monday morning when they get in they get the WTF is happening moment. And give us all a please explain.

Where keeping your CDP file of your route is critical. I have edited and got mine below the 1GB level. Which seemed to create the Tzarc message. And messing about saving elsewhere, maybe its a Content manager issue. Which has connections everywhere.

True my route started small 6yrs ago, is now a country, UK is small but going end to end is pretty long. And countrys need ongoing Governance to run properly. We seem to be under a bit of a unknown influence at present. Which is causing some concern to us who have been at this from the beginning. Newbies hang in there, it will get sorted in the allotted time. We have had a good run to date.

so what should we do? sit and wait?

Not run Trainz for just over a week and now experience the similar issue, it locks up during the scan process
Testing shows the following:
Trainz22PE
Build 132316
Open Trainz Launcher
Check Account, OK and Login successful
Check Managet Content:
All thumbnails are blank
When viewing my installed content and any Asset Details, the Name, Author and Paretn ID are blank. There is no description text either
When viewing content on the Download Station, again all Thumbnails are blank, Asset Details: Name, Author and Paretn ID are blank. No description text
Start Trainz
Scanning stops at 23558 asset folder scanned and 85
Check Account, now saying "Validating"
Just sits at this point

Yup. The program acts like an Oracle database and not a game. Mine sat for about 45 minutes then it loaded okay. My hard disk was pegged at 100% while some kind of data validation was going on. Go to the Launcher and look at the client log. It may show what's going on.

Some on discord have found turning off internet helps for some reason

As others have said, disconnecting from the internet and restarting the game seems to have cleared this issue for most.
It’s 12.47am Monday here in N3V time, so hopefully they’ll sort a more permanent fix in the next 7-8 hours.

Definitely a server issue. Switched off internet, Rebuilding database worked as per normal. Internet on, it stalls.
I have also lost functionality regarding the placement of track objects , signals, etc. With internet on or off. These issues have manifested themselves since last Thursday's server maintenance.
Ticket has been sent to Trainz Support.

Upon further investigation, since the server maintenance on Thursday, 21st May, signals can only able to be placed on track that has a build number of less than 2. Anything higher will not allow signals to be placed.
Could any other members please verify this ? I will send an amended ticket to support.
