What is wrong with download station, new stuff seams to be coming on at a snails pace, five or six items in over a month, were are all the uploads that people say they have sent in. I hope the pearson who is thinking of starting a download station type payware site gets it up and running soon, I will be one of the first to try it out.

People who make items for trainz need a good download site to upload them to, come on Auran fix download station, and get things going again.

I have to agree. One of the most disappointing issues I have ran into with 2010 is that most old content will not work or will not work without considerable effort. What makes this even more disappointing is the lack of a wide variety of 2.9+ content on the DLS.

It would be nice if Auran itself went through some of the old assets and converted them to work in 2010. At least that way I would feel like I spent my money on something a little better than a $50 service pack for 2009 that disabled most of the content I used.

I share your frustration, but I hope it never comes to payware-only, as that will signal the end of Trainz for me. I'm beginning to wonder if the DLS will ever be reliable, especially when Auran themselves say things like "it's not easy to fix" and "we don't know when it will be fixed, so try not to send too much new stuff to the DLS, it is unstable".

New items are either being rejected (most for no good reason) during the upload/approvals process or getting stuck in the DLS 'waiting area' and not making through to the DLS. This latest round of the problem began before Christmas 2009. There was a brief recovery after the New Year, but it has collapsed again and still hasn't been fixed as of now, the end of January 2010. That's about 6 weeks of patchy performance at best.

I would say most creators have taken the hint and are holding off sending new assets to the DLS. Some are speaking of boycotts, public hangings and revolt. Others are silently fuming and just accumulating their new assets at home while waiting for the 'all clear' to begin uploads again...
