Trainz Classics 1&2 CMP Question.

I can't put into words how great this software is after seeing it in action for the first time! I have a question, though, and I am slightly mislead by the information online.

If I purchase Trainz Classics 1&2 (which is what my laptop can handle, 2GB RAM w/ Win7), will I be able to download fully-working locomotives through the Content Manager Plus for free? Specifically the SW9, SW1200, SW1500, GP20, GP38, SD45?

Will they be usable in the driving mode like the (very few) included engines?

Hi Augustus Maximus Novus Trainzerus,

Welcome to the Trainz Forums Marching Arch.

Clear-cut. You'll be able to download stuff from the Download Station if you have a First Class Ticket for high-speed downloading. ;)You'll be able to download stuff labelled for trainz-build 2.7. which are abundant now at the DLS.

If not, you could but very free slots are really available for free non-ticketed downloading.

Be aware too that the TC's series built-in contents are not so numerous as in other versions of Trainz and maybe you'll need some dependencies -built-in other versions- which are not present in TC or at the DLS.

Enjoy your TC, a nice piece of software, sometimes underestimated. ;)

Do you have trainz railways. If you do, it also comes with trainz 2006 service pack 1 which I believe is the last version of trainz 2006. Trainz classics has a lot less content then the other trainz simulators so you would probably need to import some assets to get other things in trainz classics working. There are also alot of 3rd party trainz sites that so much good quality, it beats the dls by a long run.
