Brand new to computer gaming, moved oversea's and had to pack my model railroad into storage.

I just bought a computer that can run Trainz. Acer Aspire 5735 Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0 Ghz, 3 Gb Ram. I am using Windows XP (Dark Edition)

My problem is that when I start Trainz Classic 2006 I get through the little movie then go to load the game as "Driver" I get to the first route "Harlem Line"

Problem #1
All the fonts in the Route and Session are unreadable and blurry

I select the only route and the first session.

Problem #2

The game starts loading and a 2nd window opens to play a little movie again. At that point the whole game freezes up and I must do a Ctrl/Alt/Delete to End Process of the game.

I downloaded the latest patch but cannot install it as the Trainz.exe file that it looks for is not recognized in my C:/Program Files/Auran/TC/Bin/ folder.

Sorry your are confussed. Or maybe I am :)
I think you have trainz classics 1 or 2
I do not have this but I have most of the others...
I know on some of the computers I service the videos in trainz do not work
I just rename all *.avi files to *.av_ and this solves the problem... It is something to do with the newer versions on windows media player grabing the file what trainz wants to......
I would also check what screen size you are running in XP and set trainz to be the same.
If you need help figuring out what Ive said click on my name and email me
