No ban, just a disagreement. IMHO JR payware is the best value around!

That said, Checkrail have freeware NS C40-8s. Skin by Sureshot, mesh by Sporbust. Not the same quality as the JR offering but these older models run fine in the OP's TS09. They are error free in TS10 and 12 though they do show warnings in 12.

Get 'em here.

I am sorry you feel that way. I just dont have the time or money to spend countless hours working on them to give them away.

No.

JR locos are serious bang for the buck.

For all the features you get in a $10.00 locomotive the price simply can't be beat.

i agree ten dollars is a steel for the high quality and attentions to detail JR provides on their loco's they could charge alot more and still be worth buying

Yeah, JR's Safetran Signals run my whole route.. I got to admit it is a good price.. But, I am short on happieness and money

I think most of are short on money.

But I found that if I make a few lifestyle changes; don't eat out, prepare meals from scratch, in the summer hang out in 1 room with a window AC instead of cooling the whole place, I even have a little 50cc scooter that gets me all over town on $3.00 a week in gas, and a few other money saving techniques can add up to some serious dough.

With just a few cost cutting measures, the last couple months I been doing some serious hardware upgrades on my computer without a single extra dollar of income.

That's part of the reason I steered clear of payware for a long time; My comp wasn't really cut out for trainz (it was supposed to be a standard family computer...yeah, see where this is going?) and it tended to choke on high-poly stuff if the LOD wasn't cranked up somewhere between "ridiculous" and "You've GOT to be frigging kidding me!"

in any event, youmight've wanted to word that a bit better, just to head off anything that might happen (IE is happening :o ), but hey, I get where you're coming from. I've actually wondered about that myself. Now, if only it had flame-shooting exhaust stacks :hehe:

15, for 9 units? Ha. I agree that there does need to be a bundle, but $15 for $60 worth of locos is asking a bit much. $40, MAYBE $30. I'd pay it if I had it.

I agree. $10.00 is not much spend on a hobby, besides the use of the product will go on for many years. This is unlike the $10.00 spent for coffee and a pastry at a donut shop, or a meal at a fast food restaurant. These are two things that I can surely do without.

Justin your models are awesome.

+1 on that.

10 bucks in this town , Go to the local Cafe to get lunch, Over to the bakery for a doughnut down the street to StarBucks and over to 7-11 for a Mt.Dew

I just gotta couple JR SD-60's (freeware) and they look good, Will look even better in CJ&E Heritage 1 (white body, Blue cab). I am not releaseing these..

If The Question Has NOT Yet Been Answered For The Person Who Started The Thread
The Freeware NS C40's Are On Checkrail
Under Downloads/3rd Party Content
Or Here

Not To Say That The Payware JR One Is Bad
But Perhaps The Person Who Started The Thread Can't Meet The Demmands Of The JR Locomotives
OR He/She Can't Afford Payware
So I Leave The Link

If $10 is too much to spend on a loco, how about $5? You may have to wait a while for it, but patience pays off. I've bought most my fleet of locos as the "Item of the week" for $5 when I see something I wanted. Now, they haven't been very reliable at changing the item every week lately, so you may need to be more patient......

That's a good point and an awesome way to go about getting the model one wants. I remember way back when an N-Scale loco was $15 or $20 each and freight cars were $7.95 each. My dad would save money up and get me one or two for Christmas or a birthday. By the time I was working, the prices and gone up 1000 times more than what they cost when I was younger and I was still out of reach. One could argue that the quality has gone up and there are more features, but today I won't spend the money for a model I can no longer use.
