i7-920 at 4 Ghz with 12 GB RAM, 560 Ti 2 GB card (301.24 driver) and a Creative X-Fi Xtreme sound card on Windows 7 64-bit OS.
Trainz 2010 runs excellent on my PC, but 2012 runs really slugglishly with average frame rates around 15-20 fps. I use the exact same AA (12xS) and AF (8x) settings set in Nvidia Inspector for both 2010 and 2012, but the frame rates are basically cut in half when using 2012. Cutting down on AA and AF doesn't improve frame rates that much either.
I've tried cutting down on the graphic options in 2012 like setting tree quality, texture quality and distance way down (5000m down to 2000m), but without much of a gain in frames.
Is there such a change in 2012 compared to 2010 to make such a difference in frame rates between the two?
Many thanks for any and all replies.
