I write for a review site called AustralianGamer.com and wrote this review on the latest Trainz edition.

Hopefully it is enjoyable and helps give enthusiasts here an idea of what the game is like before purchase.

...Auran should pay you...:D

lol

No, it's not about that.

I've had a really positive experience since I've started playing the game. Yes, there are things to improve on (I name a few in the review) but otherwise it's a pretty good game.

I like seeing niche games like this developed. It is good for those into particular hobbies.

Euphod you sound like J.R Ewing... paying people off!:hehe: lol, I'm sure you don't have a clue who he is and I'm not telling you!:p
Anyway, make sure you mention the surveyour mode! And the massive online community that really makes the game awesome! :Y:

I did mention the community and Surveyor mode.

I actually find that, although the driving bit is where the most fun is at, that Surveyor mode and the mods and content developed by the community is what is most exciting to me as a gamer.

As was said to me when I started... Say good bye to life ;)
Nice review as well :)

And don't forget that Trainz is a work in progress, and has been for many years.

It will never be finished, and that is good, it must always get better.

Without the contribution of so many creators, beta testers etc.., the game would hardly rate a mention.

I wait for the 64-bit version of Trainz, running on a Pentium 10. Graphics card with 10GB of memory. Motherboard with 20GB of RAM.

Have I been too modest?

Good review. And will hopefully bring more supporters to Trainz and Auran. I still remember the magic I felt when I first fired up Trainz (CE). Trainz has been a real shot in the JR for us dollar constrained railway modellers.

Microsoft may have closed Ensemble Studio, but wasn't it Aces that were producing MSTS2?

Not that Microsoft didn't close them as well of course.

Good review though.
