In other words, Auran may be guilty of false advertising at the moment since they still claim that access to the DLS is free.
Anyone care to take screenshots of Auran's false advertising to their local US Attorney's Office? Maybe the military will be sent to give us 06 and older users our DLS access back.

As pfx said, after seeing that announcement, it looks like the life-cycle policy has been implemented. I just hope they don't remove existing <TC content otherwise there will be quite a bit of fuss made (a fair bit of locomotives/rolling stock/multiple unit trains were made to be compatible with TRS2004 and above)

From Tuesday we have ended free access to the Download Station for unsupported editions of Trainz (TRS2006 and older - including derivative versions of these edtitions) as part of the Trainz Life-Cycle Policy.
Although we ended support for these editions in September, we have allowed free access to continue up to this time. However, so as to assist with the recent server issues, we have had to now implement this.
To be able to access the Download Station, you must either purchase and activate a First Class Ticket, or register a legitimate serial number for a supported edition of Trainz (please see the life-cycle policy for information on which editions are supported, and when support is planned to end for these editions).
We do thank our many customers who have supported the Download Stations continued operations through the purchases of First Class Tickets, which are sold to help keep the Download Station servers online.
