Trainz 2006 and Vista

I recently loaded Trainz 2006 onto my laptop which runs Windows Vista. Having tried a few 'test' layouts (saving, running, modifying etc) I found that when the laptop is turned off the routes/sessions are deleted and do not appear when laptop restarted! Runs and saves fine on desktop PC. Any observations please?

Possibly a permission issue with the program files folder. Did you install TRS2006 or just copied TRS2006 and ran it from the exe file?
