Trainz 12 - sp1 problema at startup

Hello everyone,

I am a new user of trainz 12 - sp1 bought about 1 month ago.

Recent I have this problem. When at the startup trainz, double click in the icon on the desktop, don't appear the main form where I can choose OPTION, CONTENT and so on but only I can view the build version number in the right lower of transparent window.
The main window appears transparent.
After if I press ENTER in the keyboard I try to start the game but I can't access in the my contents or install new contents.

My solution is only uninstall and after reinstall trainz.

Is there one best solution at this problem?

Try reistalling. It appears that some files are missing.

Welcome to the forums!
Did you have TS12 working ok before this most recent behaviour? Or has it been like this since the original installation?
Sounds to me like the configuration settings for your video display have been altered accidentally.
i.e. Somehow the display mode for Trainz has changed to something your monitor is finding difficult to display correctly.
Were you running in OpenGL or DirectX mode before, do you know? At what resolution? Full Screen or Windowed? etc.
It might be possible to enter the correct parameters into one of the Trainz settings files in your installation directory to get you back to a state where you can see the Options menu again to fix the problem and thus avoid a lengthy re-installation.
Let us know more and we should be able to suggest a solution to get you back up and running again.

It may be possible to fix this problem without needing a reinstall, but it requires use of the command prompt. If you are comfortable using that, see the thread in my signature for my command line database repair tutorial.
