trains not following speed

macneil

rout builder
Ive been testing my rout and I found that at one of my terminals there is a stretch of track were whatever train, driver use's that track leading up to the platform they do not follow the speed limit. And cannot stop befor the buffers they just crash into them the platform next to the one in question has the same setup but works fine. Any ideas anyone .thanks

speed

You didn't say which version, but I have found the speed sign goes into effect at the end of the train (in 2004 anyway), so maybe place some dropdown signs out on the track to slow the train down in steps IE: 60 to 40 to 20 etc. because the train crashing sounds like it doesn't have enough time for the AI driver to apply the brakes in time to stop.

Hope this helps

Sorry I always seem to forget that im useing trs09 sp2 ill try that though thanks. The platforn next to it is exactly the same setup so i dont no why this is happening.

Do you have a signal of any kind just before the buffer? Also make sure you have the station set up as a terminus in its properties. Lay an invisible speed sign on the track at 05mph near the end of the platform. A speed reduction is picked up and obeyed the second the front of the train hits it, this applies to all versions of Trainz. Only a speed INcrease waits until the end of the train has passed. ;)

I have tried tour advise it works on every other platform. But just this one platform whatever train and whatever speed marker I use it does not work when every other track leading up to the platforms is fine.

Try deleting the track and then re-laying it with the correct speed signs and signals.
I have found that sometimes, there is an invisible speed sign attached to a track, but I cannot see it, so just removing and replacing the track seems to work.
