Trains 2012 won't install

Can anyone help me? I have Trainz 2006, 2009 and 2010 installed on my computer. It's a laptop with a Radeon HD4330 512mb graphics car with 4 gigs of RAM running on windows vista.

I just got Trainz 2012 and when installing, it takes 3 hours and when installing each bulletin file, it comes up with this message ---------------------------
Error
---------------------------
C:\Program Files\N3V Games\TS12\Builtin\ts12h.ja

An error occurred while trying to read the source file:
Data error (cyclic redundancy check)

Click Retry to try again, Ignore to skip this file (not recommended), or Abort to cancel installation.
---------------------------
Abort Retry Ignore
---------------------------

If I click ignore, it carries on with the next bulletin and after an hour, I get the same message for that file. This is rediculous surely it doesn't take this long to install the game.

I have problems with Trainz 2010 as well - ever since trying to update that game, it doesn't work anymore and I uninstalled and re-installed and now it doesn't work at all. The dashboard comes up, but I can't select any routes or edit anything. Not to mention, I've lost all my routes I created.

Can anyone help?

thanks

This may indicate a corrupt sector of your HDD. Try performing a defrag and a chkdsk.

In your newer thread "TRAINZ SUCKS", you mentioned that you ran the defrag. Did you run chkdsk?

1) Press the Windows button and click "Computer".
2) Right-click on your local disk drive and click "Properties".
3) Navigate to the "Tools" tab.
4) Under "Error-checking", click "Check now...".
5) Make sure both checkboxes are selected, then click Start.
6) If prompted, restart your computer to begin the error scan.
7) Wait up to 6 hours for the scan to finish.
8) When you return to your Windows desktop, you may get a disk scan report. If possible, save the details in a Notepad file or as a .log file.
9) Try installing Trainz again.

Looking at the error message, the problem is one of two things:

1.Faulty or damaged DVD disc.
2.Incomplete or damaged download.

The error is very specific.
