Train Runs over Film Crew

Well ... We all know how that movie ended !

And surely will be canceled, and never released.

Don't bet on that. Quite a few movies have been completed and released when actors who were main characters died during production.
--Fast and Furious (Paul Walker), and Batman (Heath Ledger) are two that come to mind.

Of Course it is CSX

That's just a stupid comment. It was not the railroads fault that people were trespassing on their property.

We don't know the facts but responsible persons should surely have planned operations better and obtained the necessary permission to be on the RR's property, and a representative of that RR would have been present too to ensure that everyone abided by the rules governing occupation of that railway line.

@King Conrail: it was suppost to be a joke, I know it wasn't the railroads fault I am sorry for posting Stupid Comments

Supposedly a bedroom Bed was placed on an active RR line, trestle (as a dream scene), and the 8 film makers were hit by flying debris, and shattered filming equipment.

Unbelievably dumb !

We do know the facts.

The film crew had permission to be on property adjacent to the railroad tracks.
The film crew DID NOT have permission to be in railroad property.
The railroad had no obligation to provide security, and had every right to assume that Georgia State LAW would be followed.

Because of the film crew violating the law, and being stupid to boot, a TRAIN CREW has to live with knowing they took someones life. Even though it was not their fault, and had no way to prevent it, it is seriously traumatic, and will burden them for many years to come, if not the rest of their lives.

And did you forget to add the following in your quote?

No. Did you forget this in your quote:

Joe Gardner, the lead detective on the case, said the crew had Rayonier's permission to film on its property next to the train tracks. "CSX has told me they were aware they were out there, but they did not have permission to be on the train tracks," Gardner told reporters.

What do you say we wait for the results of the official investigation rather than speculating.

Cheers

AJ
