Train Dispatcher

Not sure where to put this thread, but here goes.

I have just updated to a new machine with Win7 64 bit.

Problem is I cannot install Train Dispatcher V3.5.

I have been to the Signal website and searched the web but cannot find anything that might help.

I know some of the Trainz members are using this game also so i am hoping someone has had some success in installing it.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Dennis

...hope this helps...

 Go into your Train3 folder, default is C:\Train3 & find the .exe file.

Right click & select Properties, Compatibility & select an older version of Window, say WindowsXP.

Close the folder & try to start TrainDispatcher.

Let us know what happens.

Hi Backyard.

Cannot do that part yet as it fails to even run the installer.
Will keep that in mind for later.

Comes up with a message saying 16bit and will not proceed.

An old workmate has said he thinks it is not accepting the serial code number to unpack.

Lucky I can use it on my lappy till I work it out.

OK, here's what's happening now.

The install is not accepting the code to unpack and install.

I copied the folder from my old machine and the desktop icons for starting it.

It will run but only in demo mode for now.

If i attempt to run the installer it bombs out before i can put the code in with a message:

Winexec failed: return-216

Anyone understand what this means and a fix for it?

I don't see anything on the Signal web site regarding Win7 fixes.

I think I got ahead of myself...

 Try to do what I posted above on the installer, where ever it may have been downloaded....

The fact you have the demo working is good....:D

I just recently did a Recovery with Vista Premium(32-bit), I can't wait to get TD reinstalled!

Backyard your prayers are answered.

I emailed Signal about the problem and they said re-download the program and gave me a new install code.

My serial number is still the same.

Not sure how it differs as it is the same Version number but, the new download and unpack code worked and Dispatcher and Builder are now running ok.

Bewdy.
