This looks like an interesting BBC2 programme to look out for http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p00ncxkd
I saw a trailer for the new series this morning.
A bit of research revealed that the person featured in this episode is a Pendolino driver from Manchester who spent a fortnight in Peru driving freight traction.
The few brief clips shown today looked spectacular. The overhead shots brought to mind Ben Dorsey’s bridges and the Trainz models of those ugly brute force “bricks on wheels” used on the other side of the pond.
I don’t know when it’s being screened but should be well worth a look.
