Try contacting Helpdesk. I agree, 50 is pretty low, especially if you need to keep records of giving or receiving permission to modify stuff, requests, etc.

I recently sent a PM to Mezzoprezzo and somehow his system told him he had missed it because his message box was full. He must have also known who the missed message was from, because he replied to say he had now cleared his in-box. So there must be a setting somewhere for this. I haven't found it.

i get an email if my pm box is full, but my email comes on my other computer and i rarely check it during the day

This is something i completely agree with Dave. Hope they give us a bit more message space, doubling the capacity of the forum inboxes to 100 oughta work.

Get FREE Skype ... Email is just a tad faster than the US Snail Mail, and Forum PM you might receive / give 2-3 PM's per day.

In short ... E-Mail and PM's are a time of the dinosaurs ... antiquated

You can copy and paste messages you want to keep to a text file or database on your local system then delete them from you inbox..
Since I believe you can only have 50 messages in all mail folders.

I got that email from the Trainz Forum saying a PM from Dinorius_Redundcus was being blocked because my 50 storage limit had been reached (which I can’t now find!). I’m guessing that this was auto generated.

I’ve checked my settings. From the menu on the top of this page: Forum Actions> General Settings> Messaging & Notification>Receive Email from Administrators box is ticked. That’s my best guess as to how the notification of my full inbox was generated and sent.

I'd like to see the 50 limit extended. 100 would be good.

I often refer back to earlier PMs which contain a wealth of information and links. I do save them before deleting them, but as text files which is a bit messy. (I don’t know how to save them so that they show “normally”, or even if there is a way of doing this). I use the Select Message box at the foot of the inbox/outbox screen. There you can choose the save type, and some other options, for any message/s selected in the tickbox to the right of each message description.

I have asked N3V about this previously, but at the time they did not feel it required increasing although it could change in the future. I can locate the relevant email if needed.
