:D Illinois Central is the best railroad hands down. I want to see more of the IC in Trainz. How about the route from Chicago to Effingham Illinois? Trains like the SD40-2 or the Gp40. The branch lines, diamonds at Tuscola or the yard in Champaign, industries in Mattoon, the list goes on. point blank,Illinois Central needs to be in Trainz soon, and NO CANADIAN NATIONAL!!!

There are IC locomotives around.
As for a route, you will probably get suggestions to make one (people will help) and/or you could use a similar one. Search DLS through the link above using "granger" and "prairie" with description checked and Layouts selected.

IC lines in the Memphis area

IC: Can't help with IC lines in the state of Illinois, but I do have all of Shelby County, Tennessee ( Memphis ) including IC Johnston yard ( my former workplace) with the new hump & the now gone IC South yard. South yard, if you don't know, is where the famous Casey Jones picked up his locomotive before his ill fated run of April,4,1900. The IC lines in Shelby county extend from "Woodstock" on the north side of Memphis where the "Fulton district" single track from Chicago splits into the belt line that runs to the east and the Memphis district that runs thru downtown. The Memphis district is primarily used by Amtrak. These lines come together at the west end of Johnston Yard at "West Jct" and continue via the "low line" to the new intermodal facility near the coal fired power plant in Ensley bottoms. It continues to the south and again converges into a single track at Lake Cormorant, Mississippi. My map ends there.

I could bundle it onto a CD and mail a copy if you are interested.
Warning, it is a pretty raw work in progress.

Search on the DLS for "Indiana Western" and "Watseka Kankakee" (can't remember if they're amphersands or just and's) by gfisher...those two routes (which can be merged together, as I have done) are some pretty durn nice (fictional or semi-fictional) representations of IC territory.

Also, I don't know if anyone's mentioned it, but magicland at protrainz.com has a (payware) City of New Orleans/Panama Limited set, kind of like the one on the DLS, but a whole lot nicer. :D

Do you have Magicland's IC Panama Limited which is on the DS?

Sorry, should have stated that link was for prototype info. On the DLS CincySouthern has a few IC locos. Sorry if I got the name wrong. Also, I believe RRMods has some IC GP40's. Have a look there.

Thanks for the fix and the links, very much appreciated. Also didn't know about the GP35's. Heading over to check them out now. Thanks.
